I have argued in this space that it is the most beautiful aircraft ever designed. Certainly the most graceful. However, opinion on this point is not anonymous. The Connie certainly aged gracefully. In it’s original guise, it was just a tad frumpy, though it still had those gorgeous porpoise-like lines.

Anonymous, unanimous... close enough. Outside of that, I’ll poke my head in as the contrarian and say the Connie just doesn’t appeal to me. The tail 3/4  view on the lead pic is very nice though.

Got dang autocorrect. As I said, opinion isn’t anonymous unanimous. I’m certainly not going to stop being your friend over it. I think I see it more in terms of the total package: the plane, the design, the era. It was more or less the zenith of the the piston-powered airliner. Although they did try putting turboprops in it.
